It Is No Wonder Katy Is Doing Well

While we have seen better days, the economy in Katy, and the entire Houston area, has done fairly well compared to the rest of the nation. There are plenty of reasons for our resilience, and one of those is our stable home market. Home construction and home ownership contribute a significant amount to the overall growth and prosperity of the community.

Think about Katy during the boom years. It was not uncommon to have new developments pop up every month. Building was happening at a record pace and the area flourished. I’m not proposing that this type of rapid growth is what we need, there are plenty of things that happened during this period that we are paying for now. But consider this…the Katy area has continued to do well during the great recession, and with affordable housing available and home construction continuing to occur we should still reap the benefits.

Home ownership builds more than just a sense of community and family stability, it builds the economy. From the multitude of people involved in building a home to the incredible number of products and services involved in maintaining a home, the marketplace is a better place when home ownership is on the rise. I have included a report that takes a deeper dive into this concept. Just click the image below to read it. As always, thanks for reading and I hope this helps.
